Chefography

Allow me to introduce…

… myself!

So, who am I?

I’m all of 33 years old and currently working in a Communications Department for a private education institution. I’m also the Domestic Goddess at Dessert By Quintessa and Miss Kimchi. All in all, I am the concoction of grace, sensuality and style in Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Salvatore Ferragamo. Other hobbies include those of travelling and yoga.

I love photography, always have, but it was with the celebration of my 30th birthday that I discovered the world of food, photography and Instagram.

So, what’s with the 30th birthday celebration in 2010?

Since my actual birthday fell in the blessed month of Ramadhan, I decided to throw myself a BIG Three-O birthday celebration on 31st July 2010. Good food, gorgeous dessert isle, family and friends turning up in black and pink. What a great day it was!

The birthday party was indeed a success and very colourful, much to my delight. To read more and view the pictures, click on the hyperlinks below.

So, what’s with the food blog?

“Somewhere along the way I got obsessed with food. Not so much the eating it but more the cooking it. It was simply divine to see people relish the food I had prepared and then to see the perfect look of satisfaction on their faces. That was it! I did not need the compliments – it was that look that had me hooked.”

As I tried the various recipes given by friends or those I searched online, I needed a way to express myself. I can toil in the kitchen for hours and it never bore me. I just needed a way to share my passion and findings and that is the way I got around to creating a blog that mainly focuses on food.

Read my very first entry here.

Recipes

The recipes you find on my blog are all put together with love, care and a lot of passion. The sources of my recipes are various – a magazine, the Internet, a cookbook (one of my favourites has to be Nigella Express), my mother or friends. Many a time I have altered or modified a recipe and always post my version of it.

I may not be Nigella Lawson but I certainly do ♥ to bake and cook. So, join me in my culinary adventure as I aspire to become an even better domestic goddess 🙂

Devotedly yours,
Liza Hassan

      Hello there 🙂

Thank you for dropping by. I totally agree with you. We ought to be responsible on what we feed our bodies.

It’s only right that we feed ourselves nice yummy home cooked meals. Cheers!
