Totally Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Warning: This is a very saliva-inducing recipe for all chocoholics!

I made two batches of these devilishly sinful cookies and NO! I never regretted it because it’s so god damn delicious. Nigella Lawson‘s recipe is Da Bomb! Like seriously. I used the recipe from one of her books, Nigella Express. The mom thinks it tastes like Famous Amos and the sis thinks it’s like Subway. And I think… it’s freaking marvellous! I had four cookies and I’m sold 😉

If you’re game enough to bake two batches of Totally Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies, then here’s the recipe! Cuba lah, tak menyesal you.


  • 250 gm dark chocolate, minimum 70% cocoa solids
  • 300 gm flour
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa, sieved
  • 2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 250 gm soft butter
  • 150 gm light brown sugar
  • 100 gm white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 2 eggs, cold from the fridge
  • 400 gm semi-sweet and/or dark chocolate chips


Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius. Melt the dark chocolate either in the microwave or in a heatproof dish over a pan of simmering water.

Put the flour, cocoa, bicarbonate of soda and salt into a bowl.

Cream the butter and sugars in another bowl. Add the melted chocolate and mix together.

Beat in the vanilla essence and cold eggs, and then mix in the dry ingredients. Finally stir in the chocolate chips.

Scoop out and place on a lined baking sheet about 6cm apart. I choose to flatten them with a fork.

Cook for 18 minutes, testing with a cake tester to make sure it comes out semi-clean and not wet with cake batter. If you pierce a chocolate chip, try again.

Leave to cool slightly on the baking sheet for 4-5 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack to harden as they cool.

    Hi…i made these before too and they were really good. easy to make too:) was wondering if you have any Chocolate Cornflake Meringues recipes to share? i tried making them and each attempt was a failure 😦 if you dun mind sharing 🙂
